Hello, my name is Alicia Parks.



Photography is my calling, my passion. It is a beautiful creative outlet that I am fortunate enough to call my profession. What I love most is telling YOUR story. It is such a special gift to give; photographs from your wedding that you can cherish your whole life, then passing them onto your children's children.

I've been a professional photographer for over 35 years. Now I spend most of my time photographing children and making books and cards. Put me around children and I light up.
Married 48 years. 4 children. 10 grandchildren.

Bio: master/craftsman photog. studio owner for 35 yrs. One of the founding members of PPRE, and past president. Specializing in portraiture, with interest in many other facets of photography. Has a great passion for Art and Painting, both traditional and electronic. He has always been an advocate of better education for Professional Photographers though out his career. He's really old and some times grumpy.

Life has taken me from Sawmilling & logging to higher education, a teaching career in Europe, back to Calif., more education, an antique store on S.R. Ave., a second hand store in Wikiup, an art gallery in Cunningham, a career in Portrait Art & finally back to sawmilling.
I'm a seeker & traveler, ever looking for the next teacher to appear,loving living life one day at a time.

As owner of Arken Studios, I specialize in High School Seniors while my wife Nancy photographs newborns and children. Together we enjoy ourselves photographing Weddings.

I’ve been told I’m in love with love. Guilty. I’ve been called a “photo ninja”. I’ll thank my 5 foot 1ness for that title. I’ve learned and continue to learn my craft from the best – including my partner in career and in life. (Guess who?) My work is a creative expression of me. To share that with my husband and daughter is pretty much life with a cherry on top.

I wear many hats.... I am a photographer, a learner, a friend, an educator, and a lover of life. I work with my clients to create timeless images that reflect their unique personalities and their own beautiful light. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, hang out with my cats, or hike. It seems I'm always involved in some renovation or building project as well. Wherever I am, my camera is never far away from my hand!

Photography to me is like magic to a child. It's an artists dream to create an image out of nature. And Give it your own spin. After capture is the artistic part for me.
